It is totally revamped into a car more advanced than Deven's design, and Raj decides to rename it DC to honor Deven's memory. Raj's boss Kartar aides him in repairing Taarzan. Little does he know that, he has also brought back Deven, whose soul is trapped inside the car.
Raj wants to update the car that reminds him of Deven. He somehow pools money and buys it at 5000 rupees. One day, he discovers and recognizes Taarzan immediately. Raj now works in a garage as a part-time mechanic. On the first day of his new college, he falls in love with a rich girl, Priya ( Ayesha Takia), who later also feels the same for him. In 2004, Raj ( Vatsal Sheth) is now a 22-year-old boy living with Lata. Unaware of the truth behind his death, Lata decides to bring up Raj alone. The car is pushed into a river, causing a gagged Deven to die. He, along with Rakesh and his cronies, attack and lock Deven in his car. He reports this to Inspector Sanjay Sharma ( Deepak Shirke), who is actually on Rakesh's payroll. Later, Deven finds that Rakesh and his partners conned him and registered his design under their name. Deven meets Rakesh Kapoor ( Pankaj Dheer) and his partners, who praise his design but decline the deal as they don't want to give royalty as part of the deal. He also looks after an older Morris Minor MM handed over to him by his late father and calls it "Taarzan", based on the car's mirror ornament of the Disney character Tarzan. The SUV car is said to have 400BHP and 500NM of torque, as well as making it from 0–60 in 5.2 seconds. It is very futuristic and more advanced than any other car in the market and registering its patent. Deven spends considerable time designing the perfect car, calling it DC. In 1992, Deven Chaudhary ( Ajay Devgn) lives with his mother Suhasini ( Farida Jalal) and 10-year-old son Raj.
